Happy 21st Birthday! February 11, 2013

Well this week I finally on Saturday could leave the house and work. It didn’t get better.. We had the baptism of Carol and was really great! even her husband came even though he was really mad the whole time. So I went to the doctor and they told me that they are going to cut me yay!! So the surgery is to cut the skin off of the sides of my toes and take off the nail and let it grow back without skin to block it.. I am not too excited but at least it will make my toe better… just a really big pain. So I don’t know what I am going to have to do after or how long I will have to be out.

But other than the toe I am doing great! We have two more baptisms on the 23rd of Angelica and her son Franco so that will be good!! I get along great with Elder Hess and we survived being together in a house for days. He also went out with youth while I stayed in houses of members. So I will keep you updated. And I got my package today! I am excited to see what’s in there. One thing I can guess. Candy hearts!! haha. So there is not much news I love you all and hope that you are doing well!

February 4, 2013 Lomas Coloradas

Well this week was uh interesting... I went to the doctor and she said that I had to rest for ten days without walking... uh kinda hard as a missionary.. but if it doesn't get better they are going to have to do a painful surgery.. So I am really praying it gets better.

But we have been blessed at the same time! Carol stood up to her husband and said she is getting baptized because it is her decision. So she will be getting baptized with her little daughter this weekend.

And the little time that we have left to work we have found people. We found a family of 6! three sisters and a boy!!! Just like our family! They are really, really nice. They are Catholic but willing to be baptized if they come to know that it is true. The boy is named Sebastian and loves mountainbiking! So we started talking and I told him all about Utah and the great places to go there! He was so excited to meet someone from the states who likes biking like him. Anyway a great family who have been passing for some difficult times lately. But I have a good feeling that they will be baptized! I really hope so.  They are such a great family. I have never taught such a big family all there sitting in
front of us. It was cool. We are going back on Wednesday so pray for them. Sebastian even asked us at what age he could go on a mission. (He is fifteen now.) I told him and he loved the idea to serve! He is the most receptive as of now. I really love him. He says he is coming to Utah one day to ride bikes with me. I told him he could stay at our house if he ever does go...

And remember Angelica? well her husband accepted baptism as well and will be getting baptized with his whole family the first week of march! Cool beans!

So there is lots of work. It’s hard to have to stay inside and not work much.. like I want to die! But my toe is really big and red looking... it’s not normal so I guess it’s worth
waiting cause I do not want surgery! So that was my week and next week I find out what happens with my toe! Love you all bye!

January 28, 2013 Lomas Coloradas

Well, we had a good week and a bad one. Good news - we found a family to baptize!! a family of three and they have a date for the twenty third of February. Anyway, this family was a reference from member and we got there and she said she was looking for something from God for her family. So, it wasn’t to hard for her to accept the gospel. She is really nice and came to church yesterday and loved it. Her kid Franco is ten and he liked it, too. And tomorrow we are going to get to know the husband so we are excited for them.

Bad news.. it looks like they are going to operate on my foot.. like cut the nail off.. lame and that sounds painful.. so today I have a doctor’s appointment to see what they are going to do.
But in our sector we have like four families to teach and we are really excited so that’s good.

And today I had quite a surprise. I got a letter from Korryn Rasmussen. She wrote me to thank me for my challenge to read the Book of Mormon a little each day and now she will be entering the mtc to go serve as a missionary in South Korea.. I was pretty shocked!! It was a very good surprise to know that. And her little
sister Anna, another good friend will be serving as well. Very cool surprise.

I am way excited for her!! But other than that I am pretty good! just waiting to find out what happens with this toe deal.. Pray for the little toe.. Anyway that’s about all the news. Love ya!
